Job Description:

Technology Consultant AEUR" Complex Engineering AEUR" Cambridgeshire

A growing engineering company, based in Cambridgeshire, are currently expanding their services throughout a range of highly complex engineering sectors. This is a role where you will get to use your technical engineering knowledge along with your commercial skills.

You will interact with new and existing clients to gain the technical requirements of projects, this is why it is essential that you would have worked as an engineer in the past. You may have worked in electronics, mechanical, physics or product design from a technical approach, ideally on complex systems like electro:mechanical or engineering products with multiple mechanical components.

Due to the interaction you will have with clients and the fact you will relay this information to technical groups you will need to have confident and clear presentation skills, being able to present from basic through to complex levels of knowledge. Once a project has been secured you will also project manage it to completion.

It is essential that you would have worked in a consultancy role previously, in particular you will need to understand where new projects would sit in the market, commercial potential of said product, technology road:mapping timelines and marketing/business development plans.

If you have not worked in a consultancy role but have worked as technology analyst (within a technical background) we would still like to hear from you as you could be developed into this role. This would normally be within a large engineering company where you need to identify market potential of new technologies.

The complex technologies you will be working on come from a range of backgrounds including, but not limited to, oil and gas, energy, consumer, robotics and other emerging technologies. This is an ideal role for someone who finds new and emerging technologies fascinating and enjoys researching their potentials.

It is expected that you would hold a degree within a technical engineering field such as electronics, mechanical engineering, physics, product design or other subjects where you worked on the development of new technologies. It would be advantageous if you hold a PhD but not essential.

Apart from working on industry leading technologies you will be rewarded with an excellent salary, benefits package, bonus and relocation assistance (when needed).

If interested in this role I suggest you make an application now as I do not expect this role to be open for long.
